60th Precinct

Coney Island—Brighton Beach—Seagate

The great chase

Cops arrested two out of three guys who they say robbed a man with a knife and a toy gun on the Riegelmann Boardwalk on July 10.

The report states the victim was approached near Brighton Fourth Street around noon by the two suspects, one of whom restrained him while rifling through his pockets and swiping his cash, while the other threatened him with a small blade and removed his passport from his front right pocket. The third suspect held a toy gun wrapped in a durag that he claimed was a BB Gun, police allege.

The third suspect grabbed the stolen goods and fled west, while the other two fled east, cops said. The victim followed the two suspects east after calling 911, never losing sight of them, the report says. The victim pointed the suspects out to the first cops he saw, who booked them, according to authorities, who added, the third suspect remains at large.

Bad customer

Some sneak robbed a car service driver on Surf Avenue on July 14, cops said.

The victim told cops he picked up the man from a Stillwell Avenue hotel around 2 pm, and the snake asked to sit up front with him. When they reached the thief’s destination near W. 21st Street, he told the driver to call his base to ask for the fare. While he was on the phone, the sneak swiped the driver’s wallet from the center compartment of the car and fled, according to police.

Caught sleeping

A thief robbed a guy while he was dozing on the N train near the Stillwell Avenue stop on July 11, cops say.

The victim told cops he was napping at the station near Surf Avenue around 2:30 pm when he felt someone remove his iPhone from his breast pocket.

Shots fired

Two gunmen shot at a guy on Bayview Avenue on July 13, cops say.

The victim told cops a guy in a black and gray hoodie fired at him four or five times near the W. 33rd Street housing development around 1 pm, without hitting him. Cops found no shell casings or property damage on the scene, and the gunmen remain at large, the report says.
