Police arrested a man who they say robbed a woman and assaulted her baby on W. 23rd Street on Dec. 7, according to a police report.

The woman told authorities that she was waiting with her baby between Mermaid and Surf Avenue at 3 pm to take a Christmas photo with her boyfriend when she got into a verbal dispute with the man.

The argument turned physical when the man grabbed the infant by the head leaving red, visible marks on the child, officials said. He pushed the woman and grabbed her wallet and phone before fleeing the scene in a black Nissan Sedan, authorities said.

Police were able to track down the man from his license plate numbers, officials said.

Craigslist con

Three hucksters lured a man to a W. 23rd Street apartment with a Craigslist ad on Dec. 11 and robbed him, officials said.

The man told police he went to the apartment between Mermaid and Surf avenues at 4 pm after responding to a Craigslist ad for a room for rent.

Upon arriving on the 12th floor, two baddies brandished guns and shoved the man to the ground, authorities alleged. A third goon acted as lookout as the two ruffians searched the man’s pockets, said police.

Terrifying ordeal

Police arrested a man who busted into a Brighton Fourth Street woman’s apartment on Dec. 9 and terrorized her on, said police.

The woman told police that the man forced his way into her apartment between Ocean View and Brighton Beach avenues at 5:40 pm. The woman tried to call police but the man tossed her phone out the window, officials said. But the woman was able to contact her friend on her iPad, who then phoned the authorities, officials said.

When police arrived they heard a struggle inside the apartment and busted in to find the man with his arm around the woman’s neck and a hand over her mouth, a police report states.
