Shocking
Police arrested a man for carrying an electric stun device after they spotted him smoking a blunt on Sixth Street on May 23.
The arresting officer reported spotting the suspect on a sidewalk near Fourth Avenue at 12:35 pm, carrying the cigar stuffed with weed in plain view.
That was enough case for the officer to search the man, and he found the non-lethal weapon along with a small bag of pot, cops said.
Unclean get-a-way
Officers nabbed a suspect who they say stole detergent from a Second Avenue hardware store on May 27.
An employee told police that the suspect was spotted attempting to flee the store between 10th and 12th streets with the ill-gotten cleaning supplies at 5:35 pm.
The suspect was arrested that same day, cops said.
Violent behavior
A man receiving care at a Sixth Street hospital for a schizophrenia disorder was arrested for allegedly assaulting a nurse on May 24.
The victim, who was assigned to care for the suspect at the medical center between Seventh and Eighth avenues, told police that the man asked to be taken to the bathroom at 8 am when he attacked.
He punched the 31-year-old woman multiple times in the face, busting her lip open and causing swelling, cops said.
Bike thefts
There were two bike thefts in the precinct this week. Here’s the rundown:
• A thief stole a man’s Columbia folding bicycle that he chained up on Flatbush Avenue on May 23.
The victim told police that he secured his bike near Atlantic Avenue at 4:30 pm, and returned an hour later to find his lock clipped and bike stolen.
• A bandit pedaled away on a man’s Cannondale Lapo two-wheeler he left on Atlantic Avenue on May 21.
The victim told police he left his ride near Flatbush Avenue at 5:55 pm, and returned a half-hour later to discover it was stolen.
Rode off
Vehicle crooks drove off with two rides this week. Here are the details:
• A lout stole a 1999 Honda CRV off 10th Street on May 15.
The victim told police he left his nearly two-decade old compact crossover between Third and Fourth avenues at 11 am, and returned a week later to find it was stolen.
• A bandit took off with a Harley Davidson 883 left on Fourth Street sometime between May 24 and 25.
The victim told police he parked his hog between 14th and 15th avenues at 4 pm, and returned the following day to discover it was stolen.
