63rd Precinct
Marine Park—Mill Basin—Flatlands—Bergen Beach
Lapped up
Cops busted a man who they say stole a laptop and iPad from an E. 42nd Street apartment on June 21 — and then bragged about it to the victim.
The victim told police that she left her home between Avenues J and K and went to work. When she returned home at 8 am, she found her gadgets gone. Shortly afterward, the defendant approached the victim and told her that he had set up a ladder against her building and entered through the window.
Red-handed robber
Police arrested a man and charged him with looting a vehicle parked on Flatbush Avenue on June 29.
The vehicle owner said she went out to her car left near Hubbard Place at 9:52 am and saw the accused rummaging through the console and glove compartment and putting things into his pockets.
When the suspect left the scene, she inspected the car and realized her cellphone, cash, and two compact discs were missing from inside.
Pile-up
Cops cuffed a man who they say broke into four cars parked on two separate Mill Basin blocks on June 28.
One victim reported that he went out to his private driveway on E. 68th Street between Avenues L and M at 4:20 am and saw the defendant inside of his car, looking around. He called the police and then watched the accused break into his neighbor’s two cars next door and remove more than $250 in cash, police reported.
Another victim said he went out to his vehicle on E. 58th Street near the corner of Avenue O and found the lock broken and his laptop, screwdriver, navigation system, and gold pendant missing from inside — all items police say they found inside the defendant’s backpack when they arrested him shortly afterward.
