Police: Man swipes electric guitar

78th Precinct

Park Slope

Strung up

Police collared a man who allegedly looted an electric guitar from a Flatbush Avenue department store on March 24.

A worker at the store near Atlantic Avenue told police that the 28-year-old suspect — who faces a charge of grand larceny — placed the black $1,600 Stingray guitar in his bag and proceeded to exit the store.

Store surveillance video shows the perp leaving the store, according to cops.

Strike out

A crook swiped the belongings of two men while they were playing baseball at a Bergen Street park on March 27.

The 18- and 20-year-old victims told police that they left their possessions next to the fence of the green space bounded by Dean Street between Sixth and Carlton avenues while they played ball at 4:45 pm.

The perp made off undetected with two backpacks containing two Fossil watches, four wallets, $16, two pairs of pants, two sweatshirts, two pairs of cleats, two sets of keys, a cellphone, and credit cards.

Two-wheel poacher

A bandit stole a woman’s Bianchi bicycle, which she had left unlocked on the curb on Warren Street on March 31.

The 32-year-old victim told cops that she left her bike on the sidewalk between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 4:40 pm. When she came back 10 minutes later, she got a glimpse of the crook — who she described as a bald man in his late 40s wearing a gray sweatshirt — in the act.

The perp fled westbound on Warren Street on the stolen two-wheeler.

Break in

A burglar broke into a man’s St. Marks Place apartment and made off with an array of goods on March 23.

The 44-year-old victim told police that he left his abode between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 11 am and when he returned nearly eight hours later he noticed that there was damage to his front door.

The crook got away with the man’s Playstation 3 console, 28-inch gold chain, $15 in coins, a laptop, and a digital camera, according to police.

In the blink of an eye

A smooth criminal swiped a woman’s laptop while she was at working inside a Nevins Street warehouse on March 25.

The 24-year-old victim, who works for a television production company inside the building near Degraw Street, told cops that she left her MacBook Pro on her desk and walked away for just five minutes. When she returned, it was gone.

Another bike rat

A delinquent looted a woman’s bicycle from in front of her 12th Street home on March 25.

The 37-year-old victim told police that she left her Cannondale two-wheeler outside her abode between Seventh and Eighth avenues when she went upstairs to her apartment to put some of her belongings away at 7 pm.

When she came back 10 minutes later the ride, valued at $1,600, was missing.

Car no more

Someone stole a man’s car from its Degraw Street spot at some point between March 23 and March 25.

The 32-year-old victim told cops that he left his 1970 Honda on the street near Third Avenue at 8 pm on March 23, and when he returned two days later at 10 am the vehicle was gone.

There was no record that the car was towed, according to cops.
