Police: Man takes woman’s phone and wallet at shopping center

Cops cuffed a man for allegedly stealing a woman’s phone and wallet in a mall on Avenue U on Oct. 27.

The victim told police she was going up on an escalator in the shopping center near Flatbush Avenue at noon when the suspect allegedly took the phone out of her hand and the wallet out of her bag, and when she asked for her things back, he said no, police said.

Trailer thief

A snake stole a man’s trailer from a parking lot on Mill Avenue sometime between Oct. 17 and 21.

The victim told police he left his trailer on Oct. 17, and went to put items in it on Oct. 21 at 10:30 pm, only to discover it was missing.

The trailer contained chrome rims, Goodyear rims with tires, and other tools, according to police.

Mall bandit

A thief stole clothes from a department store on Avenue U on Oct. 24.

The looter stole hoodies, T-shirts, and a windbreaker from the store, near Flatbush Avenue at 8:50 pm, with other people, but when confronted and told to drop the items, was the only one to flee the store with the clothes.

Drug possession

Police arrested a suspect for allegedly stealing a person’s credit card and possessing drugs on Brooklyn Avenue on Oct. 25.

The suspect was allegedly pulled over on Avenue M at 12:55 pm for excessive window tint, and when police saw the suspect had an active warrant, they searched the car.

The suspect allegedly had a large quantity of marijuana and other drugs in their possession, in addition to a stolen credit card, with $2,260 charged to the card, police said.
