Red-handed bust
Cops busted a man for using a stolen credit card at a Flatbush Avenue appliance store on Feb. 15.
A store manager told police that the nogoodnik entered the business near Quentin Road at around 4:40 pm, and attempted to use the stolen card. Authorities said an employee quickly noticed the fraudster and called police to the store.
Officers arrested the suspect at 5:09 pm, according to the report.
Storage raid
Someone raided a man’s bin at a Foster Avenue storage facility sometime between Feb. 1 and 17.
The victim told cops that he locked up his belongings at the facility near E. 56th Street on the first of the month, and went to retrieve several items 17 days later at around 11 am — only to discover his items missing.
A marauder got away with home improvement supplies, according to cops.
Huge withdrawal
A trickster stole more than $60,000 from an E. 59th Street man’s bank account between November of last year and January of this year.
The man, who lives near Avenue K, told police that he noticed the large sum of money missing from the account on Feb. 13 at around 2:37 pm and reported to cops. Authorities said the victim also reported about $5,700 charged to a retail store credit card, according to the report.
Gassing up around town
Someone used a Flatbush Avenue gas station company credit card to make purchases elsewhere between Jan. 1 and Feb. 14.
The card owner told police that he leaves the credit card at the station near Avenue T for attendants to use when his employees gas up at the location.
Cops said the man reported that the card was used at multiple locations and more than $23,000 in authorized purchases were credited, according to police. Officers said the station manager was notified and the credit card is still at the location, according to the report.
