Cops have released new security footage showing a man who they believe robbed a bedridden octogenarian and assaulted a nurse at an old-timers apartment building in Carroll Gardens earlier this month.
The footage shows a guy described as about 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, and wearing a black and white shirt strolling down the street near the scene of the crime.
Police say a still-unidentified scumbag stole hundreds of dollars from an 87-year-old woman as she lay in bed in her apartment on First Street between Hoyt and Bond streets at 8:30 am on July 3, according to police. The ruffian barged in as a nurse was opening the door, pushed the woman aside, and locked the door behind him, cops said.
The lout rummaged around the elderly woman’s home while she lay terrified in her bed, then absconded with an envelope containing $290 in cash and with the nurse’s purse, which held another $200, according to police.
