Police: Screwdriver-wielding suspect broke into storage facility

Police cuffed a guy for breaking into a storage facility on Avenue X on May 20.

Officers responded to a call of the 39-year-old suspect breaking into the facility near W. Second Street at 1:15 am, and when they arrived, spotted him inside the facility, a police report states.

The guy then jumped the fence and ran, but was stopped by police who found a screwdriver in his pocket, according to authorities.

Just needed a key

A creep broke the door frame and lock of a house on Parkway Court on May 21 while a locksmith had left to make a key for someone.

The locksmith told police he had left his house near Ocean Parkway a little before 11 pm and when he returned at 11:42 pm, he noticed the jerk broke the door frame and lock, but did not get into the house. The punk did not steal anything but he left his shirt on the scene, police said.

Sour relationship

Police arrested a guy who they say punched his girlfriend in the face and stole her cellphone on Batchelder Street on May 16.

The woman told police the suspect were in an argument at 7:50 am near Avenue X when the fight escalated and the suspect grabbed her cellphone from her hand and then socked her in the left eye many times.

The guy also stole $40 dollars from her and fled in a cab at 8 am, according to authorities.

School bully

A knave threatened a teen with a knife while he was walking home from school on Stuart Street on May 17, police said.

The nogoodnik approached the 13-year-old from behind near Avenue R at 2:40 pm and pulled out a black knife and threatened to go through his bag, according to authorities. But the punk didn’t get away with anything, a police report states.
