Police are searching for a man who stole a woman’s purse in broad daylight last week in Sunset Park.
The robbery occurred April 24 on Fifth Avenue at 51st Street at around 2:20 p.m., when the man approached the woman from behind and grabbed her bag — causing her to fall to the ground — before fleeing on foot toward Sixth Avenue, police said.
Emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene, but the woman refused medical attention, according to authorities.
Police said the man is in his late teens to early 20s and was last seen wearing a blue jacket and light gray pants.
