Cops are on the lookout for a group of ruffians who they say beat a man unconscious on a train after an argument turned violent on July 12, according to a report.
The band of young galoots got into a verbal dispute with their 43-year-old victim on an F or G train as it neared the Smith-Ninth Street stop in Carroll Gardens at 9:50 pm, cops said. The argument turned to fisticuffs, and the punks allegedly ganged up on the man, beating him so badly that he lost consciousness, a report said.
The accused good-for-nothings fled the scene subway station and responders transported the wounded victim to New York Methodist Hospital, where he is in stable condition, cops said.
