What a pistol
A 24-year-old man was arrested for firing pistol rounds at a man on E. 51st Street on Oct. 28.
The victim told police that he was driving between Avenues H and I at 4:30 am when he narrowly avoided colliding with another vehicle. Following the near miss, the victim pulled over to the side of E. 51st Street, and then noticed the other vehicle pull in behind him and the suspect emerge from the driver’s-side door, bearing a firearm.
Police say the suspect then fired several rounds at the victim and the rounds struck a nearby house and two parked vehicles — another narrow miss. The suspect then fled in his vehicle, but police quickly tailed him, and the suspect ended up crashing into a parked 2007 Infinity and was arrested, police reported.
They later recovered two slugs and 14 shell casings where the suspect fired at the victim, cops said.
Not respecting elders
Police arrested a 30-year-old man who they say beat up a 66-year-old gentleman and then threatened him with a knife on Avenue H on Oct. 28.
The elderly victim told police that he was with several other people between E. 56th and E. 57th streets at 3:46 am when the suspect punched him in the face and pulled out a kitchen knife.
“I’m going to kill all of you,” he allegedly snarled. Officials say that when the suspect was apprehended by police, they found a bag of pot in his pockets.
A 52-year-old man was arrested for threatening a man with a saw inside Kings Plaza Shopping Center on Oct. 26.
The victim told police that he was inside the Avenue U mall at 3 pm when the suspect burst inside and waved a saw at him. When cops arrested the suspect, he did his best to resist, but only earned himself a few extra charges, cops said.
Police arrested a 32-year-old woman who they say burglarized a man’s Kimball Street apartment on Oct. 25, taking cash and prescription pills.
The victim told police that he returned to his apartment between Flatlands Avenue and Avenue P at noon, where he was startled to see the suspect fleeing from his abode.
The victim said the kitchen door inside his apartment had been kicked off its hinges, and he was missing a bottle of painkillers and $200 in change.
