Punch drunk
Detectives tracked down a man suspected of sucker-punching a 52-year-old man outside a Fifth Avenue watering hole in the early hours New Year’s Day.
The victim told police the suspect cold-cocked him outside the bar between Sackett and Union streets at 1:23 am, before grotesquely pinching him in the eye.
The suspect evaded capture that evening, but didn’t remain free for long, and investigators nabbed their man five days later, cops said.
C’mon, bra
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly trying to fight his way out of a Flatbush Avenue lingerie store with stolen perfume on Jan. 4.
An employee told police the suspect shoved him as he tried to flee the store near Atlantic Avenue with his ill-gotten scents at 6:05 pm.
Police arrested him that day, charging him with felony robbery, cops said.
Sticky situation
Some jerk superglued a front-door lock on a woman’s Warren Street apartment on Jan. 1.
The victim told police she was returning to her home between Third and Fourth avenues with a load of clean laundry at noon, when she was surprised to discover her lock didn’t seem to work.
No arrests have been made in the case of glue-filled lock, and the case has been closed, cops said.
Cab vs cab
Police busted a taxi driver for allegedly beating another cabbie on Flatbush Avenue on Dec. 31.
The victim told police he was arguing with the other driver from the seat of his cab near Atlantic Avenue at 11:30 pm, when the other guy walked up and slugged him through the window.
Police caught up with the suspect near Pacific Street later that night, charging him with misdemeanor assault, cops said.
