One got away
Cops arrested two men who they say assaulted a guy and stole his phone and cash on E. Fourth Street on Jan. 2.
The 29-year-old victim told police he was walking from Kings Highway at about 3:45 pm when three men approached him, and one struck him in the head from behind with a closed fist and swiped his cellphone saying, “Give me your stuff and more money,” officials said.
But when the victim said no and wouldn’t give any more cash, a second suspect took out a knife and said, “Are you sure?” The second suspect went through the guy’s pockets and took his wallet with $300 in it, police said. The third suspect just stood there and then fled with the other two in a black Ford Explorer, officials said.
Police arrested the two suspects at the corner of Avenue P and E. 12th Street, according to authorities.
Good Samaritan
Two malefactors pushed a guy into a fence and tried to steal his cellphone on E. 23rd Street on Jan. 4, police said.
The 25-year-old victim told police he was crossing the street near Avenue W at about 10:30 pm when the two baddies ran up to him and pushed him. The jerks then went through his pockets and tried to swipe his cellphone, according to authorities.
But a guy passing by witnessed what was happening and the punks fled down Avenue W toward Nostrand Avenue, officials said.
Swiped on the street
A punk swiped a teen’s cellphone on Brown Street on Jan. 5, officials said.
The 18-year-old told police the nogoodnik came up to him near Avenue X at about 9:30 am and asked what kind of phone he had. The teen took out an Apple iPhone 6 and turned off the music, but the scoundrel tried to grab it from his hand, police said.
The teen refused to cough it up and then the crook threatened to hurt him, officials said. The victim then handed over the phone and the good-for-nothing fled, according to authorities.
Two against one
Two miscreants grabbed a teen on his way to school and swiped his cellphone and wallet on Avenue X on Jan. 4, officials said.
The 16-year-old told police he was walking back to school near Coyle Street at about 3:15 pm when the two crooks donning ski masks approached him and grabbed his iPhone from his hand.
They also took his MCM black wallet from his jacket pocket along with his school identification card, according to authorities.
Unconscionable attack
A pack of louts knocked a guy unconscious and stole his phone, sweater, and cash on Avenue V on Jan. 6, police said.
The victim was near E. 19th Street a little after midnight when the unknown number of villains struck him, knocking him over, and then continued to kick him while he was on the ground, according to authorities
The 51-year-old victim woke up in Coney Island Hospital. Officials at the hospital told police the victim had cuts, bruises, and swelling on his entire face and had a broken nose and cheekbone. He also had swelling in his legs, police said. The fiends swiped the guy’s Samsung phone, cash, and sweater, officials said.
Not so fast
Cops cuffed a 29-year-old suspect who they say tried to break into a guy’s Avenue W home on Jan. 4.
The victim told police the suspect entered his private gated driveway near E. Third Street at about 2:45 pm and tried to break into the home by breaking the window screen and forcing it open, officials said. The suspect fled on foot, police said.
Bike snatcher
A weasel broke into a guy’s shed in his backyard near Avenue T and stole his bike sometime between Jan. 1 and Jan. 4, police said.
The crook opened the guy’s gate near E. 22nd Street and broke the lock off the shed and then swiped the guy’s Diamond Back Bicycle, according to authorities.
