Teen robbers

Police cuffed three young suspects who they say stole a woman’s $349 receipt from a Coinstar machine in hopes of cashing it in at an Avenue Y store on Oct. 8.

The 61-year-old victim told officers she was using the machine to add up her spare change in the store near E. 17th Street at about 3:10 pm when two young women — 20 and 16 years old — and a 16-year-old boy ran up from behind, pressed the receipt button, and grabbed it before she could stop them.

When the victim and a witness began to argue with the suspects, the male suspect threatened the witness with a knife, according to authorities.

The suspects then fled on foot but were caught by police, officials said.

Bye, bye, bike

A baddie swiped a guy’s bike from his backyard shed on Bedford Avenue on Oct. 4.

The victim told police the crook stole his black and red Cannondale bycicle from the shed in the back of his house near Quentin Road a little before 6 am, and his video surveillance system caught the jerk in action.

The malefactor cut the lock of the shed and then fled with the two-wheeler at about 6:20 am, according to authorities.

Another bike snatcher

A pair of punks hopped a fence and stole two bicycles from a man’s garage on Bedford Avenue on Oct. 2.

The guy told police the jerk took off with the pink Kona bikes from the back of his garage near Avenue P at about 8:30 am. The guy’s surveillance camera footage caught two nogoodniks loitering in the garage a week earlier — and he thinks they’re the culprits in the case of his missing bikes, police said.
