Investigators claim the suspect trailed the 23-year-old victim into her home at 5:45 am, choked and raped her, then fled.

The suspect claims the woman was drunk and the sex was consensual — and he says he helped carry her into her apartment on her request, according to an assistant district attorney quoted by the New York Daily News.
The suspect faces charges of rape, burglary, stalking, sex abuse, strangulation, unlawful imprisonment, and menacing.
