Police: Woman hits man with her car while fleeing crash scene

Car assault

Cops cuffed a woman who they say hit a man with her car after trying to flee the scene of a crash on W. Eighth Street on March 30.

The victim told authorities he and the woman were involved in a collision near Surf Avenue at 3:45 pm when the woman tried to flee. The victim said he tried to stop her from doing so when she allegedly hit him with her car, causing pain to his back, police reported.

Slash bandit

A miscreant slashed a teenager and stole his iPhone on Surf Avenue on March 25.

The 19-year-old victim said a group of people jumped him near Stillwell Avenue at 9:30 pm and cut him in the face with a knife before taking his iPhone 6.

Train to hell

A good-for-nothing robbed a boy at knife-point near the Ocean Parkway train station on March 24.

The 13-year-old boy told police he was exiting the station on the corner of W. Brighton Avenue at 8 pm when a man pulled a knife on him and took his Samsung S7 cellphone. The man then fled towards Surf Avenue, leaving the victim uninjured, cops said.

Cutter

Police arrested a woman who they say cut another woman on Brighton 12th Street on March 28.

The victim told officers the woman tried to break into her house near Ocean View Avenue at 5:40 pm, and when she confronted her about it, she cut her in the face with a knife, cops reported.

Tool theft

A nogoodnik stole a bunch of tools from a car parked on Ocean Drive East on March 26.

The victim told police he parked his vehicle near Seacoast Terrace at 5 pm, and when he returned 10 minutes later, found that someone had taken two saws and electronics from the back of the car.

Air conditioning job

A jerk stole refrigerator-related equipment from a van on W. Fifth Street on March 26.

Officers say the air conditioning company worker left the van near Neptune Avenue at 5 pm, and when he got back, noticed someone had broken in and taken a tank of refrigeration materials and other tools.

Police said there are cameras near the site of the incident.

Cash theft

A punk stole hundreds in cash from a woman on Ocean View Avenue on March 28.

The victim said she left her house near Brighton Eighth Street at 1 pm, and when she returned, realized someone had broken in through the front door and taken $400, cops reported.

Police said there are cameras in the lobby and garage of the building.

Train lurker

A man allegedly took a cellphone from a sleeping passenger on a Q train on March 30.

Someone told police they saw a man take the cellphone from the dozing straphanger at 2:20 am on a W. Eighth Street-bound Q train.

Police said the suspect is known to them as someone who reportedly does this often.

Sneaky pickpocketter

A weasel swiped a woman’s iPhone while she was walking on Surf Avenue on March 30.

The victim told officers she was near W. 20th Street at 5:10 pm when she felt someone reach into her pocket and grab her phone. She turned around, but there were many people she saw and she could not identify who took the phone, according to authorities.

Police said the Find My IPhone app was not available.
