Police cuffed a woman for threatening to shoot a convenience store employee on Flatbush Avenue Extension on Jan. 13.
The employee at the chain store near Dekalb Avenue told authorities the suspect, who often comes to the store and blocks the door to prevent other patrons from leaving, came in at about 7:40 am and said “I’m going to shoot you if you call the cops,” and started swinging a wooden cane, officials said.
Some thief broke into a woman’s Vanderbilt Avenue apartment and swiped her clothes and appliances sometime between Jan. 13 and Jan. 15, police said.
The 35-year-old woman told police she left her apartment between Flushing and Park avenues at about 8 am on Jan. 13, and when she returned two days later, noticed the lock was changed and her shoes, clothes, cabinets, microwave, and paperwork were missing, according to authorities. The woman’s landlord told her he changed her locks because the door was open, officials said.
Search and seizure
Cops cuffed a guy who they say broke into a Fulton Street construction site and was found with heroin on him on Jan. 16.
The suspect jumped the wall to get into the site between Vanderbilt and Clinton avenues at about 4:20 am, and when cops showed up, he tried to flee, according to authorities.
But the police discovered stolen tools in his jacket pocket along with two Ziploc bags with five packets of possible heroin, and another 10 packets from his pant’s pocket, police said.
A weasel broke into a woman’s Clinton Avenue apartment and swiped her jewelry sometime between Jan. 12 and Jan. 16, police said.
The victim told police that when she returned to her home between Greene and Lafayette avenues she noticed some good-for-nothing stole her sapphire ring and four men’s watches, according to authorities. The building’s security cameras were not working for two days overnight on Jan. 16, police said.
Some villain drove off with a woman’s car parked in front of the hospital on Dekalb Avenue on Jan. 17, police said.
The victim told police she left her 2016 Toyota Corolla near Ashland Palace at about 1:15 pm and when she returned to get it at 5:30 pm, it was gone, officials said.
