Crazy ex-girlfriend
Cops cuffed a woman who they say violated a restraining order and stabbed a man in the thigh on Bay 29th Street on March 5.
The man told police that he has an order of protection against his ex-girlfriend, who contacted him. The pair had a brief conversation over the phone where the victim told the woman to leave him alone and stay away, according to a police report.
But the woman had a key to the man’s apartment between Benson and Bath avenues and entered just after midnight, officials said. The man and woman began arguing and the dispute quickly turned physical when the woman scratched at her ex-boyfriend and finally stabbed him in the left thigh before fleeing the scene, authorities said.
Yet, the man told police, he does not want to press charges, according to a police report.
Thrilling chase
Police responding to a burglary in progress caught the alleged would-be bandit on 61st Street on March 2.
An officer responded to a radio call of a burglary in progress at an apartment between 21st Avenue and Bay Parkway at 1 am, said police. Upon arrival, the officer saw the man jump over a closed gate and bust a lock to enter a residence, police said.
The officer ran after the man and caught him clutching a red headlamp, according to a police report.
Day dream gone wrong
Police arrested two men for mugging a woman on a D train at the Bay Parkway station on March 5.
The woman told police that she was dozing off looking out the window on the train at noon when she snapped out of it and realized a man was riffling through her bag. When the woman tried to stop the man, a second man held her down while the first swiped $300 and a cellphone from her purse, authorities said.
The pair fled the train and booked it down the subway platform, but officers caught up with them, police said.
Family feud
Officers nabbed a man who they say slashed his relative in the head with a screwdriver on Bay Ridge Parkway on March 5.
The victim told police that the disturbed 28-year-old man attacked the woman between 15th and 16th avenues at 10 pm. The man fled the scene but police searched the area and arrested him, officials said.
Copper caper
A thief made off with armfuls of copper pipes from a Bay 16th Street construction site on March 1.
A construction worker told police that the bandit cut the chain to the work site between 84th and 81st streets at 6 pm. The prowler crept into the building area and fled with as many copper pipes as he could carry, authorities said.
