Pooches put on the dog for wag-tastic ‘Howl-o-Ween’ in Bklyn Heights

Halloween went to the dogs as dressed-to-thrill canines were the cat’s meow on the year’s zaniest day, strutting their spooktastic selves along the Brooklyn Heights Promenade for bragging rights and prizes.

Man’s best pal got his ghoul on at Sunday’s charity Howl-o-Ween and Muttsparade, where festivities — unleashed by Perfect Paws — aimed to sniff out the spiffiest tail-wagger of all.

Courtney and Paige Lallier’s pet pooches Frankie and Zoe came altar-bound as a bride and groom, while Matthew and Martina Parker of Brooklyn Heights channeled the French Revolution for merry mutt Giuseppe’s glad rags — he cut a majestic figure as Napoleon Bonaparte and claimed top prize!

Giuseppe and other wag-nificent winners were lauded with treats and cuddles at an after-party at the Vinegar Hill Veterinary Group in DUMBO.

The revel came with a fierce fringe benefit for organizer Tom Vasquez, owner of Perfect Paws, who has held the contest for the past nine years.

“The best part of all was raising money for animals not to die,” he said, adding that the proceeds would support the Friends of Hillside Dog Park in Brooklyn Heights, and Animal Rescue Sean Casey in Windsor Terrace.
