State Senator Kevin Parker presented a check for $100,000 at the Tabernacle Of Praise to support the (TOP) Tabernacle Of Praise Development Corporation, a non-profit organization committed to assisting members of the Flatbush and East Flatbush community by addressing the population’s needs through advocacy, programs, services and community partnerships.
“Wherever there are people who are in need within the community, said Parker, “we are anxious to reach out to them. We are grateful to present this check to an organization whose position is to work endlessly for others. I truly acknowledge their accomplishments.”
“This significant contribution comes at such an important time while we’re in the process of revamping the church,” said Bishop Garnes. “With this sincere contribution, Senator Parker has made it easier for us to continue working on behalf of the people.”
“We are pleased to receive such an award from Senator Parker. With this award we are now able to continue our efforts in conducting various community events throughout the year,” said Nicole Grant Adams, executive director.
The TOP Development Corporation also conducts ESL (English as a second language) programs, as well as tutorial programs for school-aged children. These efforts are extremely beneficial to the community.
Tabernacle Of Praise is located at 4015 Avenue J.
