A dirtbag tried to rape a woman in her Williamsburg building on Tuesday morning, but ran away after she fought him off, police say.
The deviant followed the 37-year-old woman into her building near Driggs Avenue and S. Eighth Street at around 8:30 am, stopped her in the stairwell, and pulled her pants and underwear down, according to a report.
But the victim yelled for help and fought the predator off, and he ran out of the building and down Driggs Avenue towards S. Ninth Street, cops said.
Police are now hunting for the sicko, who they describe as around 22 to 25 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, and 170 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, light-colored pants, and black sneakers, and carrying a black umbrella.
