Can we get over ourselves and cut the crappola already? This whole Republican-Democratic nomination process has spiraled into a juvenile high-school election. Deciding who gets to sit in the White House for the next four years has devolved into a popularity contest.
I don’t want the most popular. I want the most capable and the least corrupt (notice I said the least corrupt — not the one that is not corrupt, because that person does not exist).
I want the country to have a president that is going to do the best for the good old U.S. of A. and not what is best for Pakistan, Iran, China, Japan, North Korea, Mexico, etc.
Everybody has to stop with the labeling, name-calling, and endless trips down into the sewers of scandal. Let’s get to the heart of the matter. Let’s face it, Trump has a history, Hillary has a longer one, and Bernie is too old — none are the cream of the crop, but there has to be one that is at least a bit better than the rest.
Let’s provide forums where the nominees actually answer the questions, rather than obfuscate, fling slander, and generally toot their own horns while sidestepping the issues at hand.
I want to know what candidates plan to get us out of the economic disaster we are in. I don’t want my great, great grandchildren to pay off the debt that keeps on rising.
I want to know how the next president is going to bring business and manufacturing back into the United States. How is the next president going to correct the debacle that is the North American Free Trade Agreement?
How is the next president going to combat the so-called Islamic State — not only here, but abroad?
Does the next president have a plan to improve the quality of life for all citizens?
How is the next president going to stem the tide of illegal immigration?
How does the next president plan on ending the bottomless money pit that has become our government, which gobbles up taxpayer money for wasteful entitlements.
I have more questions, but unfortunately, not the space.
Not for nuthin™, but those that only believe what the spin doctors throw at us need to get a grip and face what is really at the heart of the matter before it’s too late and another incompetent class president takes up residence on Pennsylvania Avenue.
