Prime cut: Woman wigs out at Prime Meats

Prime nuisance

A 32-year-old woman was arrested on May 26 after she wigged out inside Prime Meats on Bath Avenue — wounding a worker in the process.

Workers at the meat market, which is located near Bay 14th Street, said the woman came in at 3 pm and started damaging property.

When an employee tried to stop her, the woman lashed out with a knife, cutting the man’s arm.

Busy handyman

Cops are investigating a 21-year-old woman’s claims that she was molested by her building’s superintendent.

The woman was inside her apartment building, which is near Gravesend Neck Road, at 11 am on May 1 when the suspect groped her breasts and pressed against her.

The crime wasn’t reported until May 26, police said.

Hit with BB

A BB gunner injured a 42-year-old woman on May 21 on 16th Avenue.

The victim was passing Bath Avenue at 12:45 am when she was hit in the face and the back.

iPhone swipe

A 15-year-old was arrested on May 21 after he robbed a 14-year-old of his iPhone and $1 during an exchange on E. 14th Street.

The victim was nearing Shore Parkway at 7 pm when the thief approached, swiping the items from the younger boy’s hands.


A thief swiped a man’s motorcycle during on May 26 during a robbery on 66th Street.

The 22-year-old victim was approaching his 2006 Yamaha motorcycle, which was parked near 17th Avenue, when two men with a gun confronted him.

One of the suspects made off with the bike while the other trained his gun on the victim — only to run off on foot seconds later.

Driveway devil

A daring thief broke into a car parked on Avenue Y on May 26, swiping a pocketbook in the process.

The car, which was left unlocked, was sitting in the victim’s driveway, which is near Ocean Parkway, when the thief broke around 9:40 pm.

Robbed on 78th St.

Two males robbed a 56-year-old woman of her purse on May 25 — but one of them didn’t get away with the crime.

The woman was on 78th Street and was nearing 20th Avenue at 2:10 pm when the duo attacked, dragging their victim to the ground.

The 56-year-old suffered a cut to her head as the thieves made off with her bag, but cops caught up with one of the culprits a short time later, charging him with robbery.

Door jigglers busted

Three people were arrested after they were caught testing car door handles on Bay Parkway.

An off-duty auxiliary police officer saw the trio — two 31-year-old men and a 17-year-old woman — checking car doors at midnight.

The three had just entered a white lexus near 86th Street when cops arrived on the scene and placed them into custody.

Purse snatch

A female thief made off with another woman’s purse on May 21 during a brief exchange on Brighton Beach Avenue.

Witnesses told police that the victim was nearing Brighton Fourth Street at 10 am when an unidentified male stopped her and asked her a question.

The male suspect distracted the woman long enough for the female culprit to run up and rip the bag off the woman’s shoulder.

Suicide at Sea Park

A 29-year-old man killed himself on May 26 after he leapt to his death from the roof of his W. 30th Street apartment building.

Residents of the Sea Park Houses, located near Neptune Avenue, said the man, who was not identified, jumped to his death at 10 am and died at the scene.

Backpack pluck

A thief broke into a 2000 Jeep Cherokee parked on Avenue Y on May 26, taking a backpack.

Someone smashed the driver’s side window of the car, which was parked near E. 17th Street, sometime after 4:30 pm.
