PSCC’s fall sweep is sweet

Assemblywoman Joan Millman (front, left) pitched in alongside volunteers from the Park Slope Civic Council (pictured) in its Fall Clean Sweep. The PSCC coordinates this effort each fall and spring to paint over graffiti, mulch tree pits, plant bulbs and clean fliers from lampposts. Millman helped bag and distribute free daffodil bulbs to neighborhood residents who were encouraged to plant them in a public area so that the flowers can be widely enjoyed. “The Park Slope Civic Council’s Fall Sweep is such a great example of what a combined effort can achieve,” stated Millman. “I participated in this event last spring and again am inspired to see neighborhood residents giving their time and energy to such a positive cause. I look forward to enjoying the daffodils all over Park Slope come spring.”
