A thug attacked and robbed a woman as she left a Meeker Avenue bodega on May 11.
The victim, 32, was walking out of the store, which is at Sutton Street, just before 2 am when the suspect grabbed her from behind. The man then punched her in the face, grabbed her pocketbook and fled down the street with $90 and some credit cards.
L of a train
A bold thief stole jewelry from around a woman’s neck as she sat on the L train on May 6.
The 51-year-old victim told cops she was riding in the second to last car on the Canarsie-bound L train at about 5:30 pm. As the train pulled into Graham Street, a man walked up to her, snatched the $200 yellow metal chain from around her neck and calmly walked off the train toward Metropolitan Avenue.
Clean pick
A thief sneaked up and stole a man’s wallet as he walked down Wythe Avenue on May 7.
The 88-year-old man had just left a neighborhood grocery store and was standing at the corner of North Third Street at around 6 pm when he felt a hand in his back pocket. He turned around in time to see the suspect snatch the wallet and run away.
The thief made off with more than $1,200.
Vandemonium
A fast-acting perp stole tools from a van parked on North Sixth Street on May 6.
Two electricians were unloading their company vehicle between Berry and Bedford streets at around noon. They left the van unlocked as they carried a load of supplies into the building. When they came out less than 10 minutes later, they found $3,000 worth of drills, saws and hammers missing from the back of the car.
