Thieves grabbed a man’s iPod on Furman Street on Aug. 15.

The perp was in the store, located between Lawrence and Bridge streets, at around 7 pm, when he grabbed the rings and left without paying.

Crime down below

Subway thieves made quick work of two riders last week:

• Thugs took a woman’s iPod on the Q train at around 9:30 pm on Aug. 9 near the DeKalb Avenue station.

• And pernicious jerks grabbed a woman’s fancy cellphone on the G train at around the same time on Aug. 12. In this case, the victim was stopped at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station when a man grabbed her iPhone.

Taxi grab

Thieves took a taxi driver’s navigation system, radio, and wallet on Pacific Street early on Aug. 14.

The taxi driver was waiting for a passenger between Bond and Nevins streets at around 5 am when three thugs approached and put a gun to the driver’s head.

The perps ordered him out of the car and made him lay down while they grabbed the goods.

Airbag swipe

Thieves stole the airbag out of a Honda that had been parked near the corner of Poplar and Willow streets on Aug. 9. The victim, who was car-sitting for her soon-to-be-ex boss, told cops that she’d parked the vehicle at around 2 pm, but returned the next day to find a passenger-side window broken and the driver’s-side supplemental restraint system missing.
