Rabbi Sokol to be honored

The Yavneh Minyan of Flatbush will honor and give Hakarat Hatov to its Mora D’Atra, Rabbi Dr. Moshe Z. Sokol as he celebrates 18 years as the spiritual leader of the minyan.

The Yavneh Minyan Annual Dinner, honoring Rabbi Sokol, will be held at 6 p.m., May 18 at the Young Israel of Avenue K, 2818 Avenue K.

In addition to his work on behalf of the minyan, Sokol is dean for Academic Affairs and professor at the Lander College for Men, a division of Touro College.
