Lowell 2
Brooklyn 1
July 21 at MCU Park
Saturday’s rain-soaked game against the Spinners was called after only three innings and will resume today at 12:30 pm at MCU Park. As of the third inning, Lowell led Brooklyn 2–1.
Lowell jumped ahead in the first, off a RBI double from Devlin Granberg. The New Englanders added insurance in the second off a run-scoring groundout from Tyler Dearden.
The Clones cut Lowell’s lead to 2–1 when Carlos Cortes smacked a single to center that knocked in Nick Meyer.
After today’s first game is finished, the regularly scheduled game will start, but will be shortened to seven innings.
