Democratic Council Member Simcha Felder, left, visited the Lutheran Family Health Centers’ Caribbean-American Family Health Center Pre-Independence Day Event.
The Caribbean-American Health Center, 3414 Church Avenue, provided snow cones, music, giveaways, and balloons, as well as blood pressure and glucose screenings.
“Events like the Caribbean-American Family Health Center Celebration are important because they raise awareness about the importance of taking care of your health,” said Felder, pictured with event attendee Georges Boursiquot. “It is important to get periodic health screenings to make sure you stay healthy.”
