Recycled bike art show

In participation with the 2008 DUMBO Art Under the Bridge Festival, Recycle-A-Bicycle will host its second annual recycled bike art show and reception, featuring various pieces made by NYC youth, September 26 from 7-10 p.m. at Recycle-A-Bicycle, 35 Pearl Street at the corner of Plymouth Street.

All art work either incorporates recycled bike parts or is inspired by bicycling. Works include sculpture, painting and tapestry. This show is curated by the artist, Pasqualina Azzarello, in conjunction with Recycle-A-Bicycle.

The following day, September 27 from 2-4 p.m., come see how you can make beautiful paintings with bicycle wheels across the street from the DUMBO store. This activity is free of charge and it will be held in dry weather only.

Also on September 27, from 12-3 p.m. and September 28 from 12-7 p.m. Taliah Lempert, an artist with a passion for painting bicycles, who has built a unique body of work, will be in front of the DUMBO store with small paintings, prints, cards, T-shirts and coloring books all featuring the noblest invention.
