Call it a melting-pot party!

Ridgites came together on March 11 to celebrate their Irish and Italian heritage at Our Lady of Angels church with themed music and food at its Irish-Italian celebration. Attendees enjoyed dancing to the cultural tunes and eating famed foods, according to the organizer, who called the event a success.

“It went very, very well,” said Arnold Fusco, the church’s assistant to the pastor. “Everybody had a great time.”

Partygoers took in the tunes of Irish singer Tony Kenny, Italian tenor Aaron Caruso, and Victoria Kenny of the Celtic Angels band, as well as a performance of the Dublin City Dancers. And after the show, they chowed down on a Irish-Italian-themed buffet, complete with corned beef and cabbage, carrots, pasta, eggplant parmesan, and chicken parmesan.
