Booze hounds
Three robbers stole more than $600 worth of alcohol from a liquor store on Avenue X on Oct. 13, forcing employees into the store basement while they made their take.
One of the employees at the booze store, between W. Third and W. Second streets, told police one of the robbers reached for his waistband before forcing the employees into the basement. The trio stole 13 bottles, including at least five bottles of expensive vodka, police stated.
Kidnapped for cash
Two gun-toting crooks forced a woman into a minivan on Avenue X on Oct. 17 to get $2,000 from her.
The victim told police she was near Coney Island Avenue just before noon when two middle-aged men approached and asked her for directions. But then one flashed a gun and they demanded money from her, stated the police report.
They forced her into a black minivan and drove her to her job, where she got the dough from her boss and gave it to the men, who fled immediately, according to cops.
Teenaged terrors
A trio of delinquent teens beat a younger boy and stole his backpack on Avenue X on Oct. 16, just steps from a school.
The three surrounded their victim near West Street around 4 pm, punching him in the back of the head and face before grabbing his backpack, cop sreported. They fled down Avenue X towards the F train.
Smash and grab
A less-than-graceful burglar broke into a fast-food restaurant just outside Marine Park on Oct. 13, making away with cash and a safe.
The perp broke the window of the front door of the sandwich eatery at Avenue U and Gerritsen Avenue just after 1 am, police reported. The sandwich chain apparently takes security very seriously though, there were five cameras there to record the burglars every move, according to a police report.
