The sunny day provided for a sparkling salute to Brooklyn’s battlefield heroes – past and present – during a veterans’ recognition day in Brighton Beach, presented by Rolling Thunder Chapter 1 NY.
Mom, dad and the kids joined fellow−minded patriots at Asser Levy Park, Surf Avenue and West 5th Street, where they hailed the memories and supreme sacrifices of American servicemembers, plus our Prisoners of War (POWs) and those Missing In Action (MIA), with a program of tribute which followed a motorcycle run from Staten Island
