Pepper princess
A woman with a full can of pepper spray and an itchy trigger finger was arrested for spraying an opponent during a Sept. 19 confrontation.
Cops said that the 25-year-old woman was arguing with her victim on Rogers Avenue between Foster and Farragut roads at 1 am when she doused the woman in the eyes with the noxious chemicals.
She was later taken into custody, charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Clarkson cruelty
Two thugs attacked a man with a knife on Clarkson Avenue during a violent Sept. 19 outburst.
The victim was nearing Utica Avenue at 10 pm when the suspects jumped him.
The thugs, ages 16 and 17, punched their victim repeatedly before slashing his hand with a knife.
The victim was brought to an area hospital for treatment as cops rounded up the two teens, charging them with assault.
It was unclear what sparked the fight as this paper went to press.
Grocery goon
A 24-year-old thief on a sugar high raided a Church Avenue grocery of a can of Red Bull and some candy on Sept. 16, but not before he threatened to kill the clerk behind the counter.
The employee of the store, which is between E. 34th Street and New York Avenue, said the thief entered at 1 pm, swiped the items and tried to leave.
When the worker stopped him, the thief made his threat and ran off, only to be apprehended a short time later.
Air bag bust
A 25-year-old thief was arrested on Sept. 19 after he was caught trying to swipe an air bag from a 2002 Jetta.
The victim was returning to his car, which was at the corner of E. 17th Street and Foster Avenue, at 1:30 am when he saw the thief inside the car, trying to pull the airbag from its housing.
The car owner immediately called police, who took the thief into custody.
Nicked by knife
A knife-wielding 56-year-old lunged at another man on Sept. 13 during a heated disagreement on Coney Island Avenue.
The victim said he was arguing with the suspect between Glenwood Road and Avenue H at 3 pm when his opponent lashed out with the blade and cut his arm.
9-11 shooting
A gunman shot a 25-year-old in the abdomen in Flatlands on Sept. 11.
The victim told police that he was nearing the corner of Avenue H and E. 54th Street at 3 pm when he began arguing with the stranger, who decided to end the spat with a bullet.
The victim was listed in stable condition following treatment at a local hospital.
Wipe out graffiti
As the ongoing war against graffiti continues, cops are now offering a $500 reward to anyone with information that can lead them to the vandals that mark up the community.
The hefty reward is part of the city’s new push to rid New York of graffiti, one of the leading quality of life complaints brought to police.
Anyone with information about graffiti vandalism in their neighborhood is urged to contact either 311 or 911.
