Music to a thief’s ears
A lying lout scammed a 72nd Street woman out of $1,700 via iTunes gift cards on Jan. 19 by claiming to be from the national Citizenship and Immigration Services and that she would be deported if she did not pay the fine within 24 hours.
The good-for-nothing called the woman at her home between Colonial Road and Ridge Boulevard between 3 pm and 5 pm, and also told her that her credit card was no longer valid and that she consequently had to pay the fine via the gift cards. She then gave the numbers of the gift cards over the phone.
