A senior citizen was killed following a bloody scene in Kensington, officials said.
Horrified witnesses told police that 77-year-old Alisa Minakerov was crossing Ocean Parkway near Ditmas Avenue at 3:30 p.m. on July 30 when she was struck down by a red Suburban.
Minakerov, a resident of East 8th Street, was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center, where she died of her injuries a few hours later. Bagged evidence from the scene is pictured above.
Investigators from the 66th Precinct learned that Minakerov was stepping into the intersection just when the Suburban, which was traveling eastbound on Ditmas Avenue, made a left turn onto the northbound lane of the heavily traveled thoroughfare.
The driver of the Suburban remained at the scene. Detectives deemed him to be sober and following all traffic rules when the accident took place.
No charges or summonses had been filed against the driver as this paper went to press.
