A 24-year-old motorcyclist was clinging to life Sunday following a horrific crash at the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Avenue W.
Police said Monday that the unidentified victim, described only as a Sheepshead Bay resident, was in grave condition at a local hospital after he was thrown from his 2001 Suzuki.
Witnesses told responding officer that the Suzuki was traveling northbound on Nostrand Avenue when it collided with a 2001 Nissan Sentra driven by a 46-year-old woman.
The car was making a left turn onto Avenue W from Nostrand Avenue’s southbound lane when it connected with the motorcycle.
No arrests were made at the scene.
Sources said that it was unclear if speed played a factor in the incident and NYPD Highway investigators were looking into the crash.
Police said that the incident was similar to two other motorcycle accidents in Sheepshead Bay over the last several months.
One of the accidents involved an off-duty cop assigned to the Patrol Borough Brooklyn South Task Force.
The accident left Officer Michael Weinstein in a coma, officials said.
