Got le Bleus
A pickpocket nabbed a woman’s purse while she partied in the “VIP” area of Hotel LeBleu’s rooftop bar in the wee hours of Dec. 19.
The victim told cops that she was in the extra special area on the roof of the hotel — which is on Fourth Avenue at Fourth Street — between midnight and 2:30 am, when she noticed that her wallet was missing.
By the time she cancelled her cards, her credit company told her that $400 had already been rung up.
Quick pick
Another thief was doing his Christmas shopping on Fifth Avenue on Dec. 16, bumping a woman and then slipping off her wallet.
The 69-year-old victim said she was between 13th and 14th streets at about 11 am when she felt the bump, but didn’t realize anything was amiss until she looked for her wallet, which simply was not there.
All she lost was cards, cops said.
Night rider
A motorcycle thief swiped a Fifth Street man’s wheels from in front of his house overnight on Dec. 15.
The cycle had been parked between Eighth Avenue and Prospect Park West at 11 pm, but when its 25-year-old owner returned to it at 9 am, the Yamaha chopper was gone.
Apple and X
A thief broke into a Sixth Avenue apartment, stealing an iPod and Xbox games on Dec. 15.
The tenant in the apartment, which is between Second and Third streets, told cops that he was not in the unit between 8:30 am and 12:15 pm, when the thief climbed the fire escape, entered through a dining room window, and helped himself to the popular digital music device, an Xbox system and several games.
Book worm
A teenager picked the wrong guy to fight with at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Branch on Dec. 14 — slugging it out with the security guard and getting arrested in the process.
Cops say that the 16-year-old girl was fighting with another school-age foe when the officer tried to get in the middle. That’s when the teen focused her fists on the guard — who managed to collar her, despite minor injuries to his face.
He went to New York Methodist Hospital while she went to Central Booking.
