Bodega brute

Some lout assaulted a Smith Street bodega clerk after attempting to shoplift on Aug. 19, police say.

The victim told cops he saw the thief attempting to leave the store near Bergen Street without paying around 12:20 am. When the victim confronted the lout, he punched him in the face and fled with the stolen goods, the report says.

Bad check

Some snake conned a guy out of $800 on Court Street on Aug. 10, police say.

The victim told cops he was approached by the slimeball on the street, who asked if he could deposit an $800 check into his bank account and withdraw the cash. The pair entered a bank near Schermerhorn Street around 4 pm, where the victim inserted his debit card into an automated teller machine.

The liar then pushed the victim to the side and withdrew $800 without his permission, the report says. The brute left the check, which bounced, according to the report.

Seven on one

Cops cuffed a guy who they say was one of six men who robbed and brutally beat a man at a Duffield Street beer garden on Aug. 19.

Police say the group of seven beat a man with bar stools and a glass bottle at the rooftop bar near Fulton Street around 5 am, before swiping his designer watch and sunglasses.

Cops arrested one of the assailants at the scene, but the other six remain at large.

High-fashion lout

A thief lifted pricey designer coats from a Fulton Street department store on Aug. 17, cops say.

The report states the malefactor entered an area marked “employees only” at the store near Gallatin Place around 1:40 pm and snuck past a distracted security guard, before snatching seven pricey Michael Kors coats and fleeing.
