A 20-year-old man was shot in the back after he left a party near the corner of East 92nd Street and Conklin Avenue Saturday.
Police were told that the victim had just left the party and was nearing the corner at 4 a.m. on September 26 when an unidentified gunman opened fire.
The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital with a bullet wound to the back. He was listed in good condition as this paper went to press. It was unclear he was targeted.

Wounded outside grocery
Police rushed to a grocery store on East 93rd Street and Avenue M Thursday after a 19-year-old was shot in the back.
The victim was reportedly hanging out by the store at 8 p.m. on September 24 when an unidentified male put him in his sights and opened fire.
The victim was reportedly recuperating at an area hospital, although sources said that he was not cooperating with the investigation.
The man who shot him was still at large as this paper went to press, officials said.
A 26-year-old man caught sipping from an open alcoholic container in a public place found himself in deeper trouble last week when he reached for a razor and threatened a cop’s life, police alleged.
Prosecutors said that Aaron Donaldson was on East 103rd Street near Glenwood Road just before 9 p.m. on September 26 when a cop spotted him allegedly taking a nip from an open bottle of vodka.
Police said that the cop was in the process of writing Donaldson a ticket when he allegedly reached for a weapon.
The cop immediately took the 26-year-old in custody, ignoring rants that he was going to kill the officer.
Donaldson was charged with menacing, obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of a weapon.
A woman was punched in the face and threatened with a knife during a confrontation on East 96th Street near Farragut Road.
The victim told police that she was inside an address on East 96th Street when she got into an argument allegedly with 24-year-old Romain Reid.
The argument got out of control when Reid allegedly punched the woman in the face. He then allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened her with it, cops were told.
The victim sustained a cut to her ear and some bruising as a result.
Responding officers took Reid into custody without incident, charging him with assault in the third degree, criminal possession of a weapon and attempted assault.
A 30-year-old NYPD police officer who patrols the streets of Bay Ridge was arrested in Mill Basin early Sunday following a booze-fueled accident that took the life of a 33-year-old woman.
Police said that Vionique Valnord, a security guard from Rogers Avenue in East Flatbush, had just left a wedding and was hailing a cab on East 56th Street and Avenue N at 1:10 a.m. on September 27 when she was struck by a Jeep being driven by Andrew Kelly of the 68th Precinct.
Kelly, a seven-year member of the force, was one of many witnesses to render aid to the woman. His four passengers, including an off-duty cop from the 70th Precinct in Flatbush, reportedly left the scene before responding officers arrived.
Paramedics rushed Valnord to Kings County Hospital where the woman — the daughter of a minister who performed the wedding she had just attended — died of her injuries.
Responding officers arrested Kelly, who was charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. He was immediately suspended from the force and was later released after making $200,000 bond.
Officials at the scene said that a cup of beer was in his jeep when the accident took place.
Kelly, they alleged, had been drinking a full two hours before the accident as he watched a football game at a friend’s house.
According to published reports, the off-duty cop that was with Kelly at the time of the accident, who has been identified as Police Officer Michael Downs, has also been suspended from duty.
Downs allegedly didn’t tell his superiors what had happened until he showed up to work at 8 a.m. Sunday morning, officials said.
Bullets flying near the McDonald’s on Rockaway Parkway and Conklin Avenue reached a 21-year-old woman eating inside, officials said.
Police said that the victim suffered a graze wound to her wrist following the fracas at 4 a.m. on September 20. Investigators said that the woman was inside the all-night eatery when shots were fired between two combatting group of males.
The woman, who was listed as an innocent bystander, was the only one injured.
Four shots were fired during the late-night blow-up, officials said. No injuries or arrests were reported.
