Early morning beat-down
A pack of six brutes attacked a pair of men on 60th Street on Aug. 26, beating them with wooden sticks, a metal bat, and glass bottles on their heads, arms, and backs, causing multiple lacerations, stitches, and staples.
The victims told officers they were sitting on the front step of their place between Third and Fourth avenues just before 4 am, when the louts approached. The aftermath of the assault required eight stitches and five staples to one of the men’s heads — also causing him to have swollen hands and mouth — and 11 staples and six forehead stitches for the other man, who also had a fractured left hand, police said. The perps fled on foot on 60th Street towards Third Avenue, according to the report.
A lout broke the passenger-side front window to a car on Fourth Avenue on Aug. 26 and stole $30 from inside.
The theft occurred at the parking spot between 52nd and 53rd streets at some point between 12:30 am and 9:30 am, police said.
Attack in broad daylight
Police arrested a man who allegedly struck another man with a metal crutch in the face, head, and arms — causing redness and bruises — on Eighth Avenue on Aug. 26.
The alleged assault occurred at 50th Street just before 3:30 pm, and police arrested him the same day.
He’ll cut you
Cops cuffed a man who they say threatened another man by running after him and his friend with a box cutter down 24th Street on Aug. 26.
The alleged incident occurred between Third and Fourth avenues between 6 and 6:15 pm, and police arrested him the same day.
Police arrested a man for allegedly driving double the speed limit with an expired license on the Gowanus Expressway on Aug. 28.
Arresting officers reportedly saw the man driving 100 miles per hour in a 50-miles-per-hour zone near 52nd Street around 1 am. They say he was also racing other cars and changing lanes with no hand or electronic signals, according to the report.
Officers busted a woman who they say — along with a male accomplice who fled — hit a man and woman with a broomstick in their Eighth Avenue home on Aug. 28.
The alleged assault occurred inside the home between 41st and 42nd streets just before 6 am. Police arrested the woman while she was fighting with the other woman, according to the report.
A thief stole $50 and two battery packs from an unlocked blue 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee parked on Second Avenue on Aug. 28.
The theft occurred from the parking spot at 62nd Street at around 4:15 pm, police said.
What a lout
Police arrested a man who they say elbowed a pregnant woman in the stomach and slapped her across the face on 51st Street on Aug. 28.
The alleged assault occurred between Seventh and Eighth avenues at around 11:30 pm, and police arrested him the same night.
Sped then sobered up
Cops cuffed a man who was allegedly driving double the speed limit while drunk on the Gowanus Expressway on Aug. 30.
The man was allegedly driving 90 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone just after 1:30 am, police said, adding that they arrested him near 48th Street and that his blood alcohol content upon arrest was 0.1 percent.
