An area man was slashed in the face after getting into an argument with a 31-year-old man.
Officials said that the victim and Jesus Moreno were arguing inside an address on Broadway near Lorimer Street at 4:45 a.m. on October 18 when Moreno allegedly flashed a razor blade and lunged.
The victim suffered a deep cut, but was otherwise uninjured.
Cops charged Moreno with assault in the second degree, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Prosecutors said that three other people were taken into custody in this incident on various charges, but their names had not been released as of press time.
A fired up 70-year-old was arrested on Grand Street last week when he chased another man down the street with a pistol.
Police said that they responded to Grand Street between Bushwick Avenue and Humboldt Street at 4:50 p.m. on October 20 when they saw Jam-Hak Sor pursuing another man with a gun in his hand.
The gun, which the senior gladly turned over to the officers, turned out to be a toy, officials said.
Cops charged the senior with menacing, harassment and the unlawful sale of a toy or imitation pistol.
Let’s hear it for surveillance tapes! Cops used one last week to apprehend an 18-year-old burglar responsible for breaking into a McKibbon Street man’s home while he slept.
Police allege that Alexander Garcia and three unidentified men were caught on camera entering a third floor apartment near Graham Avenue at 3:15 a.m. on September 12.
The tenant said that when he went to sleep his laptop computer, keys and credit card were all in a safe location.
While he slept, Garcia and his accomplices unlocked the apartment door and swiped the items.
A surveillance camera inside the elevator caught Garcia secreting the stolen laptop computer under his coat, officials said.
Cops apprehended Garcia the next day, charged with burglary in the second degree, grand larceny, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
An area man was robbed of his cash, watch and iPhone following a hold-up at the corner of Hope and Havemeyer streets.
The victim told police that he was approaching the corner at 9:30 p.m. on October 12 when a man in a sweatshirt stopped him.
“Give me money,” the man demanded as he stuck his hand under the sweatshirt, acting as if he had a gun.
Although he never saw a weapon, the victim handed over the items, officials said.
Cops are looking for a thief who ran off with a free-wheeling trickster’s wheels.
The 20-year-old biker said that he was testing out tricks near the corner of Roebling and South 4th streets on the evening of October 12 when someone approached and asked if he could ride the bike.
The victim said no, but the thief jumped off the bike and ran off with it anyway, officials said.
A night of promising romance — and all the hot stuff that comes with it — was put on the back-burner when a neighborhood Romeo was robbed of his courting tools: a six pack of beer and a box of condoms, according to published reports.
The victim said that he was leaving a store at Monstrose and Graham avenues at 1:15 a.m. on October 10 when two men approached and ordered that he fork the items over.
“Give me all your sh-t or we will f–k you up,” the victims threatened, according to reports.
The victim handed over everything he had to the thieves, who were both apprehended before they could make good use of the items.
The names of the suspects had not been released as this paper went to press.
