A liar stole $13,860 from an 80th Street man by taking the money from his checking account and credit card on May 1.
The man, who lives between Bay Parkway and 23rd Avenue, reported the theft around noon, and said the crook stole the money from his account with a fake check, adding that the snake also somehow changed his address with the post office.
Steals wheels
A villain stole a man’s 2013 gray Honda Civic from its 85th Street parking spot on May 1.
The car was parked at 20th Avenue, and when the man returned to it around 4:30 pm, it was gone, according to the report.
Gone in the night
A scoundrel stole a woman’s 2000 gray Honda Civic from 77th Street on May 3.
The car was parked between 21st Avenue and Bay Parkway, and the thief drove off with it around 1:45 am, cops said.
Cleared out the jewels
A robber stole $200 and thousands in jewelry from a Quentin Road apartment on May 4.
The pilferer grabbed the goods from the bedroom in the home between W. Second and W. Third streets around 4 pm, according to the report.
Caught red-handed
Police arrested a man who they say climbed through the living room window of a Bay Parkway home while the homeowner was inside on May 5.
The man tried to break into the home between 70th and 71st streets just before 4 pm, when the homeowner walked in, saw him, and called for help, according to authorities.
Cashed out
A punk broke into a car parked on Bay 14th Street and stole $800 and debit and credit cards on May 3.
The pilferer broke into the vehicle between Benson and Bath avenues around 10:30 pm, after he broke the left panel window.
Didn’t get far
Police arrested a man who allegedly tried to steal clothes from a Bay Parkway store on May 6.
Cops say the man put the clothes in a gray bag and tried to exit the store near Shore Parkway just before 7:30 pm, when he was caught with his haul.
