‘Sneaky’ thugs

Sneak attack

Three thugs pillaged a Varet Street sneaker emporium on Feb. 12, heisting footwear and sucker-punching an employee who tried to force them to pay.

The footwear felons grabbed four pairs of kicks and were on the way out of the shop, which is between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street, at around 4:20 pm when an employee tried to get in their way.

But the crooks overpowered the worker, holding him in place while one of the ruffians slugged him in the face. The assault left the victim bloodied, and the crooks fled from the scene in a gold car.

Shot down!

A 20-year-old was shot in the arm by a former friend on Valentine’s Day.

The gunman hit the victim with a single round near the corner of Division Avenue and South 11th Street at around 1:30 pm and fled.

Bad service

A hooligan roughhoused a 15-year-old and grabbed his Sidekick cellphone on Feb. 12.

The crook confronted the teenaged victim on Grand Street between Humboldt Street and Bushwick Avenue at around 4 pm and asked him whether he was carrying any valuables.

“Do you have anything on you, like a phone?” the thug inquired.

The victim said no, and the crook turned violent.

“Let me see — empty our your pockets,” the crook demanded before shoving the victim against a car and removing the flashy phone from the victim’s pocket.

Purse picked

A quick-handed thief snatched a wallet from a woman’s purse as it sat unattended on the counter of a Broadway bodega on Feb. 10.

The thief heisted the wallet — which contained a Metrocard and IDs — while the victim was buying coffee and candy at around 2:40 am. Surveillance footage shows a woman, who cops said appears to be in her about 20 years old, grab the wallet and flee from the shop, which is near Graham Avenue.

Burg burgs

Burglars ransacked Williamsburg this week, breaking into at least three apartments and snatching countless valuables. Here are the grisly details:

• Crooks tore through a Ten Eyck Street apartment while the 30-year old resident was out of town between Feb. 12 and Feb. 14. Once inside the apartment, which is between Lorimer and Leonard streets, the hoodlums grabbed the victim’s black Apple laptop, 80-gig iPod, and gold necklace.

• Thieves broke into a South Second Street apartment on Feb. 12 and snatched jewelry and electronics.

The crooks got into the apartment between 11:30 am and 2 pm and grabbed the 43-year-old victim’s laptop, silver iPod, and jewelry. Residents of the building, which is between Havemeyer Street and Marcy Avenue, said that the front door is always left unlocked.

• Hoodlums pushed their way through a Hooper Street cellar door on Feb. 14 to steal $1,000 and a passport.

The crooks got into the apartment, which is between Marcy and Harrison avenues, between 1 and 7:30 am and pilfered the 50-year-old resident’s home in search of the goods.
