It’s Super Snow Monday.

The temperature remained in the mid-40s for the duration of yesterday evening’s big football game two rivers away, but dropped just in time for the work week in Brooklyn, ushering in the wall of white that has blanketed the borough since early this morning and is expected to last through the early evening.

It is really coming down, but our pals over at the Weather Channel say only about four inches of accumulation are expected.

The temperature is hovering around freezing, so the snow will likely continue turning into the kind of black slush that makes negotiating curbs an extreme sport. The overnight low is supposed to be 23 degrees, so expect that slop to turn into sheets of ice by the morning, then melt again when the high tomorrow hits 36.

The city feels drivers’ pain and has suspended alternate-side-parking rules for Tuesday. Parking meter payment requirements will remain in effect.
