Misty eyes and congratulations accompanied the send-off for departing St. John’s Church pastor, Rev. Barry Parsons.
The clergyman, who has led the flock for three years at the Bay Ridge house of worship on 99th Street, off Fort Hamilton Parkway, was bid a fond farewell with a Mass and a farewell luncheon at Fort Hamilton Army Base.
In attendance were local dignitaries and clergy members, among them Brooklyn Archdeacon Howard K. Williams.
