Pint-sized wordsmiths at Public School 207 took a word journey on the road to success when Assemblymember Alan Maisel feted them with awards for completing a summer literacy assignment.
Early Childhood Center students were presented with merit certificates for participating in the lawmaker’s summer reading challenge, which had required them to read a specific number of books on vacation.
Maisel made the presentations during a ceremony at the school, 3920 Flatlands Avenue.
The challenge, said Literary Coach Dr. Deborah Getman, was a “wonderful incentive” to promote summer reading in children.
