St. Marks was no patron

St. Mugged

Two hooligans manhandled a 31-year-old on St. Marks Place on July 1, pushing him to the ground and stealing more than $100 from him.

The victim told cops that he was between Fourth and Fifth avenues at around 11:50 pm when the two thugs approached and one said, “Let me see what you got in your wallet.”

Before he could do the big reveal, the other thug pushed him to the pavement and took the billfold, which contained $110.

Inside job

The HSBC bank on Ninth Street has a pretty good idea who stole $50,000 from a customer’s account: the suspect is a bank employee.

The manager of the branch, which is between Fifth and Sixth avenues, told cops that his fraud department discovered the missing cash in late June — and realized that the rogue employee had been double-dipping since March.

Cookie crumbles

It was like taking candy from a baby when a Fifth Avenue treat shop was burglarized overnight on July 3.

Police say that a thief or thieves broke into Nibble Nook, which is between Fourth and Fifth streets, sometime after 10:30 pm after tampering with the locked front gate.

The varmints got away with $200, the cash register that held it, and more than $200 in baked goods and beverages.

The owner discovered the crime when she opened on July 4.

Hi-tech haul

Stealthy thieves busted into an 11th Street apartment overnight on July 4 and stole thousands in electronics and fashion accessories while the victim was sleeping.

The tenant of the apartment, which is between Sixth and Seventh avenues, told cops that he and his family were sleeping when the thief broke in through an unlocked bedroom window.

Without waking anyone, the thief grabbed four iPods, a digital camera, a laptop, two pairs of sunglasses and gift cards.

Necking

A brutal mugger grabbed a woman by the neck and snatched her bag on 13th Street at 2 am on July 2.

“Give me your money,” the bastard said as he wrenched the 27 year-old woman’s purse, which contained her digital book reader, Blackberry, iPod and cellphone, on the block between Seventh and Eighth avenues.

Masked and anonymous

Two perps clubbed a man and stole his bag and phone on Park Place early on July 3.

The victim was between Fifth and Sixth avenues just after 1 am when a teenage skell stepped in front of him. Without a word, his masked accomplice smashed the man across his face. The two made off with the victim’s property in a white SUV.

Shove and mug

A cowardly criminal shoved a woman from behind and snatched her cash as she walked home early on July 4.

The victim was at the corner of Seventh Avenue and Tenth Street just past 3:30 am when the mugger shoved her in the back, forced her to the ground and stole three C-notes.

Un-fare

If you’re headed to Bay Ridge, don’t catch a ride with Sammy! A Park Slope man was scammed by a cab driver with that first name on July 4.

The 36 year-old victim a car service to hire a cap to take him to 94th Street between Third and Fourth avenues at 2 am. “Sammy,” the driver, showed up, and took the victim first to an ATM, where he allegedly watched the passenger punch in his PIN.

After the victim left the debit card in the livery cab, Sammy made good use of the secret code: When the victim woke up the next morning, he discovered that Sammy had made six withdrawals overnight, totaling $773.

Wheely bad

It was a busy week for Park Slope’s notorious bike, car and motorcycle thieves as at least eight vehicles were stolen or broken into. Here’s the bad news:

• A thief snatched the green wheels off a guy from the Bluegrass State overnight on June 29. The Kentucky visitor told cops that he had parked his Prius on President Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues at around 11 pm, and discovered it missing the next morning.

• A thief broke through a Nissan car window to steal a man’s credit and debit cards on June 28. The victim told cops that he had parked the Altima near Grand Army Plaza at around 9:30 am and returned to it a little over four hours later.

• A Staten Island man’s motorcycle was swiped off 10th Street between Eighth Avenue and Prospect Park West on July 4. The man told cops that he’d parked the Kawasaki chopper at around 3:30 am and returned seven hours later to find the rice burner gone.

A 2000 Dodge Caravan was boosted sometime between 9:40 and 10 pm — and turned up hours later on Prospect Park West near President Street intact except for its backseat. Shortly after 10 pm, a 1996 Plymouth Voyager was jacked from the same block.

• A safety-conscious robber broke into a 2008 Ford Escape on July 1 and stole the driver’s-side airbag. • A lockpick broke into a 1994 Acura Legend parked on Berkeley Place on July 4 and made off with a man’s backpack, wallet, cash and car stereo.
