Lights, camera, ‘I do’
Brooklyn comedian Lizzy Bryce has a plan for all those 30-somethings who are still single — marry your roommate, even if he or she is your platonic frenemy.
Lizzy is the writer and creator of the new online series “Sham,” currently running on YouTube.
Together with Upright Citizens Brigade alum Tim Keck (the groom), director Matt Fisher, and Andy Zou, “Sham” hits the high-spots, sore-spots, and low spots for every guy and girl out there who hit the magic milestone without a marriage proposal in sight.
Long-time roommates Lizzy and Tim might hate each other, but marriage isn’t about love, is it?
“They don’t want to share, they can’t stand each other (or even listen to each other for like one second), but a promise is a promise, so let’s just get stupid married already, jeez.”
Already on episode three, the pair have pushed the buttons on hotbed issues, picked a maid of honor, survived the big-box store, and tasted their way through wedding cupcakes. Will Lizzy fit into her dress? Will Tim give up his stuffed animal? Check out new episodes each week. Standing O can’t wait for the big day, but can they?
Check out “Sham” and enjoy life — 30 comes around much too quickly!
